Recently I have been attacked in ZR Van Terminal by a group of "bad boys" because of my Metal attire. I was wearing A bullet belt & two studded belts, chains, a shirt with the selves torn out and the ends worn, torn; bleched out jeans & various necklaces.

For some reason they believed i was "gay" so they threw rocks at me and told me not to come back.

Barbadians and Caribbean people in general are vaguely small minded fools who dont know how to appreciate anything different or creative. Have you had any similar experiences that you had to go through?

To hell with what their society thinks. Those people throwing stones are just shallow minded people who don't know better. They are the lower of the low of society. I'm pretty sure some more sensible people in Barbados can begin to see your lifestyle for what it is. And if they don't it just makes them equal to the low lives in the streets.

Unfortunately, this occurs everywhere in the world. When i was growing up, even white kids threw rocks and crazy shit at me because they thought I worshipped the devil or some inane shit.
Of course, at first i was upset but i realized, i can't let people with so much hate conquer me. I'm happy with who I am so fuck those idiots. When it comes down to it, the only thing worth anything is your own happiness. There are going to be ignorant people in life, regardless how you dress/speak, etc. The most powerful thing you can do is look beyond that and ask yourself what truly makes you happy and who gives a shit about ignorant opinions.

Granted, I don't want any of you guys getting hurt.. But most of these one brain cell mongoloids just throw shit or yell at you WHEN THEY ARE IN CROWDS AND NOT ALONE which is more proof that they are just scared of what they don't understand. There is too much intolerance and ignorance in this world. Why be succumbed to it?

Additionally, I am aware now that the younger generation won't go thru the crap I have because metal and dressing a lil funky has been more accepted in my area. With that, trust me guys, it does get better! Just be you and change the minds of peoples misconstruction of what we are and what we stand for. Too many times have I seen a metal/goth/punk kid in the media portrayed in a negative sense. We are educated, creative, open minded beings. So don't ever let that shit societal mentality get to you because you will always change the mind of some young person who is willing to understand and when they see you (us) being positive it will influence them in the RIGHT way.
